Cats nominated for four ESPY Awards

Kentucky will be well represented at ESPN’s annual ESPY Awards this year.

The Cats are nominated in four different categories, headlined by the Wildcats’ nomination for Best Team. John Calipari is among six nominees for Best Coach/Manager, and Anthony Davis is nominated for Best Male College Athlete and Best Breakthrough Athlete.

The 20th annual ESPYs will air live July 11 at 9 p.m. ET at the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles with host Rob Wiggle. ESPN describes the event as the one night where the sports world joins together to celebrate the best moments of the year.

Fans can select the winners by voting online at ESPN.com/ESPYs. ESPN will air the ESPY Nomination Special Wednesday night at 11 on ESPN2.
