BROOKLYN, N.Y. — After some midweek uncertainty, John Calipari’s Kentucky Wildcats will be at full strength for their season opener.
Guards Ryan Harrow and Julius Mays will play Friday night in the season opener against Maryland. Coach Cal announced the news Friday after UK’s shoot-around at the Barclays Center.

“I’m happy that we’re full strength,” Coach Cal said. “I was a little worried that we were going to go in light.”
Mays, a transfer from Wright State, suffered a right leg strain in the exhibition win over Transylvania and did not practice Wednesday. Harrow, a sophomore guard, missed Wednesday’s practice with an illness.
Both participated in Thursday’s practice and Friday’s shoot-around.
