ATLANTA — Kentucky point guard Ryan Harrow did not make the trip to Atlanta with the team, ruling him out of Tuesday’s Champions Classic game with Duke.
Coach Cal confirmed the news Tuesday after UK’s shoot-around at the Georgia Dome. Harrow, a sophomore, has been dealing with the flu.
“He just, no energy, fatigued,” Calipari said. “(We’re) trying to get to the bottom of what’s happening. Hopefully this week he’s going to be ready to go.”
Graduate student Julius Mays, who was also questionable for the game with an eye injury, will likely start without Harrow, Calipari said.
Freshman Archie Goodwin and junior Jarrod Polson, who scored a career-high 10 points against Maryland, are expected to see the majority of the minutes at point guard.
