Before practicing and taking off for Alabama, head coach John Calipari met with the local media on Monday to discuss his team’s recent progress — which he’s happy with — Alabama and Willie Cauely-Stein’s status. For the record, Coach Cal said Cauley-Stein, who has a left knee injury, likely wouldn’t travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala., with the team if he didn’t practice Monday.
