Beckham out indefinitely after back surgery

OXFORD, Miss. — Kentucky senior guard Twany Beckham is out indefinitely after having back surgery, John Calipari announced Tuesday.

Beckham had surgery Tuesday morning in Lexington and did not make the trip to Oxford, Miss., for UK’s game against Ole Miss.

Beckham, a 6-foot-4 guard from Louisville, Ky., hasn’t played since the Eastern Michigan game on Jan. 2 because of a back injury. He’s logged 17 minutes this season, recording two points, two rebounds and two assists.

Freshman forward Willie Cauley-Stein, who has missed the last three games after having a minor procedure done on his left knee, traveled to Mississippi with the team and is a game-time decision.
