It’s been awhile since Kentucky has been in the conversation of the national rankings, and though UK isn’t back in either of the major top-25 polls, the Cats are receiving votes for the first time in a month.
UK, which is now 15-6 on the season, 6-2 in Southeastern Conference play, picked up six votes in the latest USA Today Coaches’ Poll and 21 in the Associated Press Top 25. If you’re counting the receiving votes as rankings, the Cats checked in at No. 38 in the Coaches’ Poll and No. 34 in the AP.
It’s the first time UK has received a vote in either poll since week 10 of the season. For perspective, this is week 14.
Indiana, the preseason top pick in both polls, has made its way back to No. 1 for the first time since week 6 following its big win over Michigan on Saturday.
