Noel’s dunk one of eight plays up for GEICO Play of the Year

Nerlens Noel may be sidelined the rest of the year, but he is still up for the 2013 GEICO Play of the Year.

Noel’s alley-oop dunk over Auburn’s Frankie Sullivan on Jan. 19 is one of eight plays up for the GEICO Play of the Year. The winner is determined by fan voting at the official Facebook page (facebook.com/BestofCollegeBasketball). Voting began Monday and will last through the week. The winning play will be announced during the GEICO Best of College Basketball special on CBS on April 6.

Competing against Noel are Butler’s Alex Barlow, Ball State’s Majok Majok, Bradley’s Walt Lemon Jr., Butler’s Roosevelt Jones, Arizona’s Nick Johnson, Illinois’ Tyler Griffey and Eastern Kentucky’s Marcus Lewis.
