The second annual UK Alumni Charity Game has officially been set for Sept. 9 at Rupp Arena.
Featuring some of the top talent of John Calipari’s first four teams at Kentucky, players from the 2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13 teams will participate in the charity game. Set to tip off on a Monday at 7 p.m., the game will only feature Wildcats currently or formerly playing professional basketball. Per NBA rules, the University of Kentucky cannot confirm individual players participating in the exhibition game.
Ticket information and additional game details will be released at a later date.
In the inaugural UK Alumni Charity Game in 2012, members of the 1996 Kentucky national champions played with and competed against members of the 2012 national champions.
Last year’s game, coupled with the inaugural John Calipari Basketball Fantasy Experience, raised $350,000 for charity. With that money, UK was able to make donations to seven different organizations during halftime of the game.
