Harrellson named Player of the Year in China league

Former John Calipari forward Josh Harrellson may get another look at the NBA after being named Asia-Basket Player of the Year in China.

Harrellson, who played a huge part in UK’s 2011 Final Four run, averaged 22.3 points, 18.2 rebounds, 2.4 blocks and 2.4 steals for Chongqing FD this season. For his production, named Harrellson Player of the Year, Forward of the Year and Import Player of the Year. He also was named to the All-CBA First Team and All-Domestic Players Team.

Harrellson, a second-round NBA Draft pick in 2011, played for the New York Knicks in his first season in the NBA and had a stint with the Miami Heat in 2012.
