Former John Calipari forward Josh Harrellson may get another look at the NBA after being named Asia-Basket Player of the Year in China.
Harrellson, who played a huge part in UK’s 2011 Final Four run, averaged 22.3 points, 18.2 rebounds, 2.4 blocks and 2.4 steals for Chongqing FD this season. For his production, Asia-Basket.com named Harrellson Player of the Year, Forward of the Year and Import Player of the Year. He also was named to the All-CBA First Team and All-Domestic Players Team.
Harrellson, a second-round NBA Draft pick in 2011, played for the New York Knicks in his first season in the NBA and had a stint with the Miami Heat in 2012.
