On Monday, I was able to do a sit-down, taped interview with WKET’s Bill Goodman for an episode of his “One to One” series. I want to thank Kentucky Educational Television and Bill for the opportunity. It was a really great discussion and I hope you’ll get to see it when it debuts on KET Sunday, September 6 (at 1 p.m.) or throughout the entire week when it re-airs across KET’s channels.

I have always appreciated the positive effect public television has on communities and I was reminded of that once again on Monday during the interview with Bill. He was so well-prepared and it was a true pleasure to join the distinguished list of guests Bill has welcomed to the studio.

. . . In the midst of doing my research on WKET, I also learned this fact which blew me away a bit: “Today, KET is the largest PBS member network in America. Our 31 transmitters (16 analog, 15 digital) and four translators deliver both the PBS national schedule and our own wide range of local arts, cultural, documentary, and public affairs productions to viewers throughout Kentucky and in parts of seven surrounding states.”

Yet another thing this state can take pride in. The Commonwealth continues to impress me daily.

Two friends checked in over the weekend to say that had received emails from Amazon.com alerting them that their pre-ordered copies of “Bounce Back” would begin arriving on August 28.

My co-writer’s response? “I guess this is really happening, huh?”

We’re both still very much at the stage where everything that happens with the book is new and exciting. (David maybe a little bit moreso!!)

Thanks to everyone who has pre-ordered and thanks also to everyone who is contacting us to let us know they’ll be at one of the book-signings. It will be tremendous to meet everyone and we can’t wait to get out throughout the Commonwealth.
