DraftExpress’ Jonathan Givony caught up with Kentucky point guard De’Aaron Fox during one of his workouts in Los Angeles recently. In the interview, Fox talks about what a typical day is like for him out in California, what parts of his game he’s working on while training, his strengths and weaknesses, his play against UCLA star point guard Lonzo Ball and much more. The video also features plenty of clips from Fox’s training, including impressive ball handling and a strong jump shot.

DraftExpress currently projects Fox to be the No. 5 pick in this summer’s NBA Draft. UK has produced 28 NBA Draft picks over the first seven years of the Coach Cal era, which is more than double any other school. Included in those 28 draft picks are 21 first-round selections, three No. 1 overall picks, 11 top-10 selections and 14 lottery picks.

All 18 players in the Calipari era who have declared for the NBA Draft after one season at Kentucky have been drafted in the first round.

Fox, the Southeastern Conference Tournament MVP, averaged 16.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, an SEC-leading 4.6 assists and 1.5 steals per game. He was named to the All-SEC First Team by the league’s head coaches and the Associated Press. On Nov. 28, Fox became the second player in program history to log a triple-double when he had 14 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists against Arizona State.
