Prior to walking across the stage and receiving his diploma at commencement on Friday, Kentucky senior guard Dominique Hawkins was in Los Angeles working out with De’Aaron Fox at the Sports Academy.

Like Fox, Hawkins spoke with Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress about his workouts in California, what parts of his game he’s working on improving, his role last season for the Wildcats and what he can show NBA scouts and talent evaluators. The video features plenty of great clips from one of Hawkins’ workouts, including strong ball handling, a nice jump shot and his ridiculous vertical.

Hawkins closed out his memorable four-year Kentucky career by averaging 4.7 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game as a senior. More than statistics though, Hawkins provided unrelenting energy and enthusiasm for one of the youngest teams in the country and was a constant defensive presence for the Wildcats. He came off the bench in 34 of 38 games this past season, averaging a career-high 19.2 minutes per game.

The Richmond, Kentucky, native was named to the SEC All-Tournament Team after scoring a career-high 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting and logging a career-high four steals against Arkansas in the SEC Tournament Championship.
