Wildcats go through morning workouts

What did you do this morning?

The Kentucky men’s basketball team was at the Nutter Field House going through an arduous workout with strength and conditioning coach Robert Harris. The guys are seen going through sprints, agility drills and other activities that look quite difficult and painful.

The team also had a more basketball focused workout Monday evening that left head coach John Calipari in a good mood.

“We had a workout (Monday) night where I was able to get them all in the gym and work guys out, which made my day,” Calipari said. “I went home with a smile on my face because it’s what I enjoy doing.”

Coach Cal, as well as freshmen Hamidou Diallo, Kevin Knox and PJ Washington will head west to Colorado Springs, Colorado at the end of the week for training camp with the USA Basketball Men’s U19 World Cup Team. Diallo, Knox and Washington are three of 28 players who were invited to attend the camp, which runs from June 18-25. The 2017 FIBA World Cup is scheduled for July 1-9 in Cairo.
