I had the pleasure of joining a group at Spindletop Hall last night for a talk and book signing and while it was great to see the fabulous gem of a facility they have out on
Iron Works Pike, I must confess it was meeting Chef Ed Valente (left) that really left its mark – on my waistline! Chef Valente made me a special post-signing meal that was tops and then persuaded me to try a cannoli or two. And a pizzelle. And maybe another cannoli!
