UNCASVILLE, Conn. — After three days in the Big Apple, the Wildcats have headed north for quieter pastures.
Two days before back-to-back games in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament, John Calipari and the Wildcats arrived at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., the site of Saturday and Sunday’s games.
Coach Cal ran the team through an afternoon practice after about a two-hour bus ride to the Constitution State. UK has a quiet evening in store at the team hotel before a busy day Friday at ESPN headquarters in Bristol, Conn., and the tournament banquet in the evening at the Sun Mohegan Resort.
Before practice, Calipari talked about UK’s 2012 signing class, the road trip and the difficulties of playing games on consecutive days.
