Cats flip the script on Florida, bury the Gators at 3-point line

Using its length as its weapon and the game plan as an anchor, the nation’s No. 1 defensive team (in terms of field-goal percentage) shut down Florida’s high-scoring attack and cruised past the No. 8/7 Gators with another dominating win Tuesday night, a 78-58 rout. The Cats held Florida to 34.9 percent shooting and 6 for 27 from the 3-point line to win their 16 straight game and 49th consecutive at home in front of 24,389 fans at Rupp Arena.
