Wiltjer set to play with Canadian National Team

Kentucky forward Kyle Wiljter is one of 16 Canadian athletes who will play on the 2013 Canadian Development Men’s National Team. Training camp for the team opened this week at the Bo Jackson Fitness Center at Nike World Headquarters in Oregon.

Mays impresses at Nets’ combine — at point guard

What seemed like an unlikely notion as recently as last week suddenly doesn’t seem so crazy anymore after Mays’ workout at a pre-NBA Draft combine that was hosted by the New Jersey Nets on Thursday. Facing talent that will be up for grabs at the NBA Draft, Mays shined, according to tweets from John Calipari, who was in attendance at the PNY Center in East Rutherford, N.J.

Mays to participate in pre-draft combine

Julius Mays didn’t reach the NCAA Tournament and compete for a national championship like he had hoped when he transferred to Kentucky, but his decision to join John Calipari’s team did earn him a shot at the NBA. Mays is one of 30 players who will participate in a pre-NBA Draft combine at the PNY Center in East Rutherford, N.J., Wednesday and Thursday.
