My story begins by saying that as a UK graduate of Architecture in 1978 that I have followed UK Basketball ever since. My blood is truly Blue. The excitement and anticipation of this years basketball journey is truly remarkable. Thanks You.
I received a copy of your book from a friend that attended your book signing in Bowling Green, KY at the Ole Stone Golf Club. He purchased and brought a signed copy to me because we were both in a terrible interstate automobile and dump truck accident on August 24th that resulted in me having a broken neck that required 2 surgeries. Luckily, I did not suffer any paralyses. Being a true blue fan, I had a ticket voucher to the book signing event and of course could not attend due to my condition.
This experience has taught me that life can be taken in an instant and that we should enjoy every moment of every day. As you have said many time, enjoy the journey.
I have not completed your book as I am still recovering and read it occasionally, but based upon what I have read it has reminded me to embrace the family and friends that have come to help me through recovery, to be strong during the toughest times and be positive that things will get better by having a positive attitude.
Being an owner of a small architectural business that requires my full attention has been challenging mentally and financially, but it has been amazing how many friends a person truly has until tragedy strikes. For this I am grateful. I am positive that your book will provide motivation and guidance to many that are bouncing back like me.
Thanks, Ken
