From Bob Cranfill:

I wanted to share a story with you to let you know the impact your book, Bounce Back, has had for me. A business associate/friend was taking up tickets at a high school football game in Whitesburg and keeled over with a ruptured brain aneurysm.  Miraculously he was taken to the right hospital quickly and survived. Even more unbelievably, his 20-year-old son was headed to the hospital where his dad was taken and was in a head on collision enroute. The son ended up being airlifted to UK Med Center, was treated and is now home with a good prognosis. My friend is currently at Cardinal Hill (unable to speak and in a wheelchair). I know he is a HUGE UK fan and I wanted to take him a little something to inspire him. Your book came to mind.

I went to a bookstore in Cincinnati where I was working (on Sept. 24) to purchase your book. I started making phone calls to people I know in Lexington (I happen to know Trish at the Dish) to see if I could by some miracle get the book signed for my friend as I knew this would be a huge deal. As it turns out, I told my story to the clerk while checking out and she volunteered that she had a signed copy of the book from an autograph session that she would sell me. I quickly bought it and took it straight to Cardinal Hill. When I presented my friend, Mark Kincaid, the book, he cried. He was so overwhelmed at the book and more importantly at the fact that it was autographed by you.

Mark and his family's reaction to the book was truly overwhelming for me. I have never in my life felt more like I had gotten exactly the right gift at the right time.
I tell you this so you know what an impact you really do have on people in Kentucky.

If you are ever at Cardinal Hill hospital, please stick your head in to wish him well.  I know it would mean the world. Thanks so much for all you are already doing for our state and for people like Mark.
