A potentially dangerous game stands between the Wildcats and their much-deserved Christmas break. Not only is Long Beach State not going to be intimidated by UK - they have already played several "brand name" schools including No. 2 Texas - the game comes only 40 hours after the emotionally-charged 2,000th win.

A potentially dangerous game stands between the Wildcats and their much-deserved Christmas break. Not only is Long Beach State not going to be intimidated by UK - they have already played several "brand name" schools including No. 2 Texas - the game comes only 40 hours after the emotionally-charged 2,000th win.
Coach Calipari has cautioned the team repeated over the past two days about the trap that could be awaiting his charges and this morning's shootaround indicated they mostly understand that. Still, with an awkward mid-week, mid-day game and visions of presents and holiday hams dancing in their heads, UK will be well-served by coming out strong, pouring it on and not giving the 49ers any chance to think they can ruin the holiday for Big Blue Nation.
