First of all, I want to congratulate everyone that was nominated early last week on the 2013 ballot for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. While none of us do what we do to make the Hall of Fame, I imagine it is an unbelievable honor just to be recognized as a nominee and be considered for the game’s highest honor.
Five spots remain for the inaugural fantasy experience, which will take place Sept. 13-15 at the University of Kentucky’s state-of-the-art athletic facilities. Participants will be able to live the life of a UK basketball player for the weekend, including unprecedented access to Calipari and the inner workings of the UK basketball program. The experience will feature everything from uniforms to practice sessions, film sessions, and being coached by UK staff and former players.

We had four practices in two days with the younger Dominican players before we mix in the veteran guys like Al Horford and Jack Michael Martinez tomorrow. I thought the guys worked really hard and I was glad to be back on the court with a team I really grew to like last year – a team that accomplished things that had never been done before in the Dominican Republic.
