Even in a season as up and down as Kentucky’s has been this year, nobody does ESPN College GameDay quite like the Big Blue Nation. A season-record 15,087 fans (those are tickets distributed) packed Rupp Arena Saturday morning for ESPN’s popular show, cheering, booing – specifically Digger Phelps – and standing from start to finish.
To lighten the mood and get his team smiling again, John Calipari surprised his team with a game of dodgeball after the team’s pre-Vanderbilt walkthrough on Tuesday. What happens when you get a bunch of 18- and 19-year-old kids matched against a team full of coaches and staff? Watch and find out.
